As Nigerian youths continue to protest against the existence of SARS police unit, the United kingdom Ambassador of Peace, Amb. Hassan Adamu, has called on Nigerian youths to embrace peace to enable government attend to their requests.

Adamu who is a paramount cow dealer in Imo State, made the peace call in Owerri when addressing Journalists. He maintained that youths should give peace a chance for the development of the country.

He commended Nigerian youths for their bold step in registering their displeasure over the activities of SARS Police unit and assured that government at all levels, has taken cognizant of their requests, assuring that their requests will be implemented.

He expressed worry that the youths peaceful protest have been hijacked by some individuals which metamorphosed into destruction of lives and properties across the country.

The Peace Ambassador advised Nigerian security agencies to apply best harmless strategies to restore sanity in the country, rather than using ammunitions and live bullets on protesting Nigerians, stressing that Nigerians killing Nigerians is not the best way to restore peace in the country.

The leader of Hausas in Imo State commended Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State for his laudable approach to the present situation, ranging from his physical address to the youths, which gave the youths a sense of belonging and a declaration of curfew in the State to ensure normalcy returns.

“I want to use this opportunity to address the youths and government too, if there is any way we can follow to stop this demonstration peacefully, let them go ahead, if there is any support they want from United Nations, we’re here to attract it. Security personnel should follow the demonstrators peacefully and not by using ammunitions to kill innocent souls. They should not be using weapons against them, Nigerians killing Nigerians is not the best.

“The youths are angry due to the current administration. Someone is in charge and , somebody else is sponsoring this protest because in some areas it’s no more EndSARS. I’m a Nigerian, I love Nigeria, I want to be a Nigerian and I want Nigeria to remain in peace. Without peace, there will be no development in the world, but with peace there will be development. The youths should understand that demonstration is allowed, but peace is most important while demonstrating and I advise the youths to use media instead of losing their lives.

“People are suffering, we just survived Covid-19 pandemic and today Nigeria is facing another problem of EndSARS demonstration. People are losing lives and properties: I’m not happy for what is going on in my country.

“I thank the Governor of Imo State, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma for his efforts in making sure lives and properties are secured and ensure peace reigns”, he stated
