A Federal High Court, sitting in Owerri, has dismissed for lack of merit fresh application filed by Frank Ibezim, a former All Progressive Congress, APC candidate for Okigwe senatorial zone.
Ibezim who had emerged candidate of the party was removed by the Federal High Court which ruled that Senator Ifeanyi Arararume is the duly elected candidate of the APC for Okigwe senate polls.
The court also ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to delist the name of Ibezim and replace him with Senator Araraume.Senator Araraume.
Ibezim had filed for a stay of execution of the judgement on the ruling of the court.
