• Okoli quit his membership of the All Progressive Congress, APC in the State House of Assembly

Hon Chief Paschal Okoli, member representing Orlu State Constituency in the Imo State House of Assembly has rejoined the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

Okoli in a letter dated November 11, 2020, to the Speaker, Chiji Collins, did not give reasons for his decision to return to the PDP

“I wish to notify you through this letter, that I, Hon Chief Paschal Okoliie, member representing Orlu State Constituency , Imo State House of Assembly, has returned to my party, Peoples Democratic Party, PDP” he wrote

He was among some members of the PDP in the House, who had decamped to the APC when the Supreme Court removed Emeka Ihedioha, as governor of Imo State, and replaced him with Senator Hope Uzodinma.

The PDP members had shrunk to five members after the defection of its members to the APC in Janaury 2020

With Okoli’s return to the APC, PDP members in the Assembly has increased to six.
