Baring unforeseen circumstances, there are feelers that the Federal Court or Appeal,Owerri,may render judgement on Friday, December 4, 2020, on who is the authentic candidate of the All Progressive Congress, APC for Okigwe senate election.
The Court had hearing submissions from contending parties reserved judgement on the matter and promised to communicate a date to parties involved.
Senator Araraume’s media team, on Thursday hinted that the Court may decide his fate today.
Reacting to Governor Uzodinma’s support for Frank Ibezim, the senator in a statement by his media team wrote “moreover going by the confidence with which the Governor spoke when he said “we shall see if the court order shall fly over Ariaria market”, he has given the impression that he is privy to the judgement of the appeal court over the case which is slated for tommorow, Friday, 4th December 2020″
There has been confusion in the APC in Imo State over the party’s candidate for Okigwe senate election.
The Federal High Court, Owerri, had ordered the removal of Frank Ibezim as candidate of the party and replaced him with Senator Ifeanyi Araraume.
Despite the Court order, the duo have been campaigning as candidates of the party ahead of the polls scheduled to hold on December 5, 2020.
