A chieftain of the All Progressive Congress, Sir Chinedu Comrade Ogubuike (KSM) has lost his mum, Late Nneoma Stella Ogubuike (nee Emetoh).

Sir Ogubuike is the National Secretary of Project Nigeria Group, PNG, the political structure championing the presidential bid of Minister of State for Education, Hon Emeka Nwajiuba.

According to a statement by the Burial Commitee led by the Transition Commitee Chairman, Orlu Local Government Area, Hon.Chief Mrs Nneoma Ifeoma Ndukwu, Late Nneoma Stella Ogubuike, aged 84, will be buried on Wednesday, 16th December, 2020 at Sir Ogubuike’s residence, opposite Mother of Mercy Hospital, Ebenese- Umuna, in Orlu local government area of Imo State.

As part of activities lined up for her funeral, there will be service of songs/special presentation by the Twelve Apostles Catholic Parish Choir, Abuja on Tuesday, December 15th, 2020.

Funeral mass to be presided over by Catholic Bishop Of Orlu Diocese,His Lordship, Most Rev Dr. Augustine Ukwuoma, will take place at St Joseph’s Catholic Church, Umuna- Orlu by 10 am on December 16.

Late Nneoma Stella Ogubuike, a devout catholic and Christian, until her death holds the revered title of Nneoma Nwereugwu conferred on her by the Catholic Bishop of Orlu Diocese in 2016.

During her lifetime, she was an astute administrator and a great women mobilizer. She served as Chairlady of Umuokwaroaha Women Development Association for more than 10 years and was the President of Umuada UmuezeAmike for over 20 years.

She is survived by 13 children, 41 grandchildren, 4 great grand children, 7 daughters in law and 5 sons in law.

Eminent personalities are expected to attend the funeral. Among those expected are Minister of State for Education, Hon Emeka Nwajiuba, Deputy Governor of Imo State, Prof Placid Njoku, Hon Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Hon.Dan Oguh, National Executives and members of Project Nigeria Group, PNG across the 36 states of the federation, including the FCT, Abuja.

Several groups to attend the funeral include Orlu Sports and Recreation Club, Ohaneze Youth Council Worldwide, Orluzurumee Youth, Umuna Clan Development Assembly, among many others.
