Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, on Christmas Day, heaped the blame of the problems bedeviling Imo State on civil servants.

He said on assumption office, he discovered that the problem of the state is more with the civil service and not the politicians, citing the massive corruption in the public service as the order of the day.

Speaking at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, ,Omuma, in Oru East local government area, he assured that he will not owe salaries to any worker or pensioner in the state or local government civil during his reign as governor of the state. He said based on the automation system of payment, 43,000 workers, and 21, 000 pensioners had been paid salaries and pensioners up to date.

He said those who have not been paid are those with issues of accurate bio data or those receiving double salaries or pensions.

He vowed to make public those who have been receiving salaries in the newspapers, stating that irrespective of political affiliation, he is committed to the welfare and affairs of the people of the state.
