INNONEWS Publisher Heads, Nigeria Online Coalition

Mr. Innocent Onyeukwu, Publisher/Editor in Chief, INNONEWS, a leading online news service, has been appointed Interim Chairman, Nigeria Online Coalition.


The Coalition is an assemblage of online media practitioners from across the country with vast experience, online journalists domiciled with reputable online outfits, social media influencers, committed “to channel, reshape and add greater value to the online news community in the country”

“The group is committed towards sanitizing the online space in the country, and forge strategic alliances with relevant and key stakeholders in the country, to achieve its purpose” part of the statement reads.

Mr. Onyeukwu, alongside Istifanus Kaura from Sokoto State and Mr. Adebayo Oguntade from Ogun State, were appointed as interim caretaker Committee Chairman and members respectively, to among other things, prepare modalities to properly constitute the Coalition.

In a statement released by the Coalition on Monday,  Mr.Onyeukwu, was appointed to lead the Nigeria Online Coalition based on “his proven track record in online journalism, setting up a flourishing online newspaper noted for its impeccable reportage and, for demonstrating an undiluted commitment to advance the cause of online news-papering in the country”

The maiden meeting of the Coalition is expected to hold at Nicon Hilton, Abuja on March 5, 2021.
