Senator Samuel Anyanwu has revealed how some politicians used the Peoples Democratic Party, PPD in Imo State and dumped the party during the 2019 election.
He did not mention the name of the politicians but urged those who who had decamped from the PDP to other political parties such as APGA, AA, Accord. Labour Party “to come back home and join hands to rebuild the PDP”
Senator Anyanwu was quoted in a statement by his media adviser, Ikenna Onuoha, to have stressed the need for party members “to put all hands on deck to bring back the lost glory of the party”
The Senator who had represented Owerri zone in the senate from 2015-2019, charged party leaders in the 27 local governments in the state “to mobilize members into the party in line with the vision to make PDP formidable, rather than remain dormant”
He expressed optimism that the party would perform more than before when her leaders come together to pursue a common goal, and cautioned those still preaching violence, rancor and acrimony to sheath their sword and remain good ambassadors of the party.”
