Imo State born Lagos based Industrialist, Edozie Onyeako (Udenga) has described the election of Prof George Obiozor, as President General, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, as the right choice made by the Igbo nation to lead the organization.
In a statement in Owerri, Onyeako who is Prof Obiozor’s kinsman, described Prof Obiozor as a round peg in a round role, and one best suited for the job of steering Ohaneze Ndigbo to greater heights.
Onyeako said “Prof George Obiozor is an accomplished diplomat who had effectively represented Nigeria, as Ambassador to the U.S, Isreal and Cyprus. He distinguished himself while serving the nation in these countries. I remain confident the he will replicate such feat at Ohaneze Ndigbo which he is saddled with the task to lead. I have confidence that Prof Obiozor will reposition Ohaneze Ndigbo for the good of Igbo nation” he stated.
Onyeako said Prof Obiozor needs the support of well meaning Igbos, both at home and in Diaspora, to succeed in piloting the affairs of the apex pan Igbo organization
“The task before Prof Obiozor is enormous. At a period, the Igbo nation is at crossroads of her political destiny, we must support the new Ohaneze Ndigbo leadership ably led by Prof Obiozor, who posses the charisma, cognate experience and midas touch to lead the Igbo nation” he said.
