The Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Imo State,has comiserated with the Benue State chapter of the Union over the death of it’s Chairman, Comrade Victoria Asher.
A statement signed by Imo NUJ Chairman and Secretary, Chris Akaraonye and Juliet Dim respectively, reads:
“The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Imo State Council has condoled with the NUJ Benue State Council over the unfortunate and sudden death of its Chairman, Comrade Victoria Asher.
On behalf of the entire journalists in the state, the council pray God to grant her soul eternal rest and give the family, friends and associates the fortitude to bear the loss.
“We also use this medium to console the NUJ Zone D, the National Executive Council and the National Working Committee over the death of their member, as we also pray that such unfortunate news will never be part of our history again ameeeeeen.
