Details came up at the weekend why Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma may not weild the big stick by sacking some of his appointees.

Media reports had speculated that the Governor may rejig his cabinet, as part of celebrating his one year in office.

His administration clocked one year in office on January 15, 2021.

Despite fears of Covid 19 ravaging the State, with all appointees of government instructed to undergo Covid 19 tests, the Governor is said not to be disposed to sack his appointees.

A source told INNONEWS Monday that “Uzodimma is sacking nobody. What will happen is reshuffling of appointees.

“Most of them have not really enjoyed goodies that go with public office.

“Aside salaries and official vehicles assigned to them, the appointees are not really getting much to even run their offices.

“Subventions have not been forthcoming. Some of the appointees cannot even pay their aides, except those of them who run agencies that are self sustaining.

“This is the situation for now.The appointees are footsoldiers of the Governor and he has to make them happy. And this i believe he will do.

” There may be few changes here and there to reposition the administration to enable it perform better, but there will not be any major sack as insinuated in the media”
