Imo State born Industrialist, Edozie Onyeako (Udenga), has urged Imolites to use the new year, 2021, to rededicate themselves to the task of making Imo State better.
In his New Year message made available to newsmen in Owerri, Onyeako, said the New Year, 2021 brings new tidings, stating that every well meaning citizen of the State, should despite the daunting challenges of 2020, continue to remain hopeful and committed to the development of the State.
He said “2021 brings new tidings. The past year, 2020 was a year of challenges as a result of Covid 19 which contributed to economic recession in the country, and really affected all sectors of our economy
“But we must not despair or resign to fate. We must be resolute in our resolve to succeed despite the precarious situation at the moment.
“We must continue to remain hopeful and be consoled with the fact that 2021 is a year pregnant with opportunities for men, women and youths of this nation.
“I remain optimistic that the New year shall mark a turning point in our nation and in our state, and I urge all of us to rededicate ourselves to those fine values that will make our nation and our state better” he said
Onyeako expressed joy over the grand reception organized by the good people of Oru Nation for Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma.
“I remain glad over the reception and we must continue to support our dear Governor, our own in whom we are pleased. I m glad that I played a pivotal role during the formative stages of the reception by hosting my good brothers and sisters during the planning stages of the event. I m delighted it went well.
“This new year, we must support the 3R mantra of the present administration and we pray that the new year will usher in boundless opportunities for our people” Onyeako stated.
