The Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees, NULGE, Imo State, has directed it’s workers to remain at home from Monday, January 25, 2021.

A statement signed by Comrade Victor Adebayo, State Secretary, NULGE, Imo State, said the “decision becomes imperative following the blunt refusal/failure of the Imo State Governor and his Government to address the lingering industrial crises faced by the Imo workers and pensioners as contained in the warning strike ultimatum issued by the Imo State organized labour which recently elapsed.

NULGE listed 8 “vexed issues in contention”, with the state government which include “non payment, staggered payment and under payment of Imo Workers salaries and pensioners pensions since February, 2020 till date.
