Senator Samuel Anyanwu has advised Imolites to adhere strictly to all safety measures to avoid contracting Covid 19, stating that the virus is not for the elites alone
In a statement by his Media Adviser, Ikenna Onuoha, Anyanwu expressed bitterness on the rate in which the scourge was spreading in the State like wild fire, and challenged everyone to take responsibility, rather than see the virus as for the elites
“Those still doubting the reality of corona virus in our environment are only living in illusion. Until people begin to see the scourge as a reality, it will be difficult for them to avoid it. Therefore, government should embark on serious sensitization to enable those ignorant of the reality of Covid-19 to be safety conscious before it becomes calamitous” He submitted.
Senator Anyanwu, popularly known as SamDaddy, is the founder of “So Others May East (S.O.M.E)” maintained that his foundation was working out modalities towards assisting the people as part of efforts to cushion the effect of the deadly pandemic.
He regretted why government in power was not doing enough to prevent the spread of the scourge, advising her to urgently step up with a view to curtailing number of casualties.
While appealing to Imo people to always wear nose masks, wash their hands when in a crowded places as a routine to curb the virus, and enjoins all churches, hotels, eatery spots and relaxation centers to implement the National Commission for Disease Control (NCDC) safety measures.
