There are strong indications that the All Progressive Congress, APC faction loyal to former Governor of Imo State, Senator Rochas Okorocha, may shun the ongoing APC membership registration and revalidation exercise.
A source in the faction led by Dan Nwafor, told INNONEWS, that the party leadership are rather keen to pursue the suit it instituted against the Mai Mala Buni led caretaker committee, before the taking part in the exercise or not.
Chairman of APC faction,Dan Nwafor was quoted by the PUNCH, to have said any exercise not supervised by his leadership was illegal, stating that the national caretaker committee should have carried out the registration through him on the grounds that he is the authentic Chairman of APC.
INNONEWS had reported last week that political foot-soldiers of former Governor of Imo State, Owelle Rochas Okorocha may be at cross roads over the worrisome silence of their leader, pertaining to the APC membership re-validation exercise.
Following the flag off of the exercise in the State by Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma, it is uncertain if the former Governor and his army of loyalists will take part in the exercise.
Okorocha has been furious with his successor, Uzodimma over seeming irreconcilable political differences which borders on the soul of the APC in Imo State.
The former Governor insists that one of his political footsoldiers, Dan Nwafor remains the authentic State Chairman of the APC in the State. The Senator who represents Imo West in the senate, is opposed to Marcellinus Nlemigbo, a lackey of Uzodimma, as Chairman of the APC.
