There are signs of a new look cabinet in the State as Governor Hope Uzodimma plans massive overhaul of his administration, INNONEWS was informed last night.
The rumour of a cabinet reshuffle in the State had popped twice last year but the Governor shelved it for reasons many could not decipher.
But the signals of a shake up are now strong as Commissioners and Special Advisers seem to be in the know of an imminent swapping.
There will outright sack of some officials, another source told this newspaper.
Three Commissioners and some Special Advisers will be swapped, while some SAs who have performed above expectation may be upgraded to Commissioners.
“Some SAs will go outrightly particularly those who seem to have abandoned their duty posts after they were inaugurated” a source who spoke on condition of anonymity said.
A Performance Report which the appointees submitted to the Governor last year is said to be a major yardstick to be used in reshuffling the cabinet.
Multiple sources told INNONEWS that consideration may be given to “some forces in the party who had aligned strongly with Uzodimma right when he was proclaimed Governor by the Supreme Court”
This newspaper could not get an official verification of the unfolding development, but it was gathered that the reshuffling will come sooner or later, particularly at this period of ongoing APC membership and re-validation is being undertaken by officials of the Uzodimma administration.
