More Okorocha, Ihedioha Loyalists May Succumb To Uzodimma’s Swoop

by admin

There is a grand ploy by the Hope Uzodimma administration, to further decimate the political families of his political foes, former Governors of Imo State, Senator Rochas Okorocha and Emeka Ihedioha.

Part of the plot is to swoop on many loyalists and political foot-soldiers of the two former Governors of the State, who unarguably command the largest political groups in the State.

While Okorocha, who represents Imo West at the Senate holds sway at the Rescue Mission comprising thousands of his ex appointees, Ihedioha is the political generalissimo of the PDP in the State.

Uzodimma had last week appointed into his cabinet, six loyalists from Okorocha’s camp and one from the political abode of former Governor Ihedioha.

Prince Eze Ugochukwu, who had served in Ihedioha’s government as SA, Public Enlightenment, was re assigned same portfolio by the present administration.

Six others from Okorocha’s camp namely, Lady Joy Mbawuike, Robert Ekwebelem, Cyril Okafor, Ann Dozie, Jerry Okolie, Paddy Obinna, were among those appointed as aides to the Governor.

A source in government circles, told INNONEWS on Monday, that there are plans “to further weaken the camps of all known opposition forces in the State by poaching their followers, both in the PDP and in the APC, and it is going to be a continuous process.

“Our targets are those who still have political value in these camps, and we will ensure they succumb to our poaching and ensure they come on board.

“Recall in 2020, we were able to capture some chieftains of the PDP, including some State officers of the party, such as former Imo PDP Chairman, Charlie Ezekwem and others.

“One of the attack dogs of Imo PDP, Mr. Ambrose Nwaogwugwu, has just left the PDP, and he has joined us.

“We have made in-roads into Okorocha’s camp, where those who served him as Commissioners and Special Advisers, when he was Governor, have dumped the Rescue Mission and came on board in Camp Hope.

“We are still talking to some of them in the camps of Okorocha, Ihedioha, and Araraume and in other political parties.

“I can tell you that by 2023, the opposition will crumble in Imo State or rather they will be so lean that they cannot come up with any opposition to the present government when the chips are down” the source who spoke on condition of anonymity told this newspaper.
