OPOCA To Okorocha: Apologize Or Face Recall From Senate

The Orlu Political Consultative Assembly, OPOCA, the apex political organization in Orlu Zone, has vowed to initiate a recall process to former Governor of Imo State and Senator representing Orlu zone, Senator Rochas Okorocha.

OPOCA says it will activate the process if the Senator fails to apologize to Governor Hope Uzodinma and the people of Imo State in the next 48 hours.

Speaking to newsmen in Owerri, OPOCA National President, Rex Anunobi, advised Governor Uzodimma not to allow Okorocha’s antics distract him from rendering good governance to the people of Imo State.

Anunobi, who is Commissioner for Transport in Uzodimma’s government, also called on Governor Uzodimma to take legal measures to recover all Imo property allegedly converted for private use by Okorocha.

Anunobi accused Okorocha of defrauding the state while in office.

According to him, OPOCA strongly condemn the “rascality, kleptocracy, familiocracy, fraud, senseless land grabbing and lawlessness of a monumental order” displayed by Okorocha by invading a lawfully sealed property at Royal Spring
Palm, said to be owned by his wife, located along Akachi Road, Owerri, last Sunday, with the intent of reclaiming the property which it maintained was fraudulently acquired.

“it is therefore, in view of the foregoing that OPOCA rises to condemn in strong terms the brigandage, thuggery, hooliganism and lawlessness, criminality unleashed against the state by Okorocha and his domestic (cronies) hoodlums on Sunday, February 21, 2021”.

He said OPOCA is bitter that Okorocha’s eight years in office was a monumental disaster to Imo people who expected good governance, dividends of democracy, working infrastructure, functional, quality and affordable education, healthcare system including security of lives and properties of laws – abiding citizens of the state.

He called on Governor Hope Uzodimma never to allow the antics of Okorocha to distract him from rendering good governance to Imo people, stressing that the reconstruction, rehabilitation and recovering mantra of the Shared Prosperity administration is revolutionizing Imo State.

OPOCA urged Imo people to continue to support the present government to advance development, peace, economic prosperity, comfort and security.
