Some loyalists of former Governor of Imo State, Senator Rochas Okorocha, were surprisingly among eleven Special Advisers appointed by Governor Hope Uzodimma on Friday.

A source however told INNONEWS that those Uzodimma appointed from Okorocha’s camp may have parted ways with the former Governor before shifting allegiance to the new administration.

Uzodimma had come under criticisms for appointing solely his followers in his CAMP HOPE into his administration.

No fewer than seven persons who had served in Okorocha’s government were appointed Special Advisers by the Governor.

A former loyalist of former Governor Emeka Ihedioha, Prince Eze Ugochukwu was also appointed SA, Public Enlightenment.

Ugochukwu had decamped from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, to the All Progressive Congress, APC last year.

Those who had served Okorocha’s administration, and now appointed Special Advisers by Governor Uzodimma include Lady Joy Mbawuike, who was appointed SA, Market Development.

She had served in Okorocha’s government as Commissioner for Commerce and Market Development.

Others are: Lady Ann Dozie, SA, Nursing, Midwifery and Adoption Matters, Paddy Obinna, SA, Arts and Culture, Jerry Okolie, SA, Skill Acquisition and Empowerment, Robert Ekwebelem, SA, Public Utilities and Cyril Okafor , SA, Livestock Development.

Ann Dozie, younger sister of Diamond Bank Founder, Paschal Dozie, was Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development in Okorocha’s administration. She was however sacked by the former Governor alongside five others in 2012.

Mr.Cyril Okafor had also served the past government as Commissioner for Tourism.

Paddy Obinna was SA, Arts and Culture in Okorocha’s government, while Jerry Okolie had also served as Commissioner for Chieftaincy and Local Government Affairs.

Robertson Ekwebelem is a well known Okorocha loyalist before his appointment and was one time Commissioner for Sports in the past government.
