Fashion Designer Gifts Imo Journalists Italian Wears

Valentino Da Vinci, a world class fashion designer, Wednesday, gifted Imo journalists with designer wears valued over N3.5m.

Ugbala said the gifts is in line with his philantropic gesture to the society, and part of giving bock to the society, particularly to the NUJ for its impressive publicity rendered by the Union for his programmes last year.

He assured of sustaining the mutual partnership with the union annually, noting that the branded clothing materials such as suits, shirts, trousers, shoes, ties, ladies handbags are made with high quality Italian fabrics.

The designer appealed to media practitioners in the State to support the Shared Prosperity and 3 R mantra administration of Governor Hope Uzodimma, assuring that the government means well for the state.

Mr. Chris Akaraonye, the Chairman, Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ in the state, in his remarks, expressed gratitude for the gifts which he described as the first of its kind since he started journalism over 30 years ago.

Akaraonye assured the staff and Management of Valentino Da Vinci ltd of the willingness of the union to sustain the mutual partnership.

Sir Innocent Igwe, the National Trustee of the Union thanked Chief Ugbala for the gifts.
