Governor Hope Uzodimma may not be done in reshaping his cabinet after appointing four new Commissioners and reassigned few others last week in what appeared a minor cabinet rejig.
But sources told INNONEWS in Owerri, that the reshuffle is not over, as about three Special Advisers,SAs may be “upgraded” to Commissioners by the Governor after the Easter festivities.
The source was not forthcoming if some other Commissioners will be dropped or reassigned.
The source said “The Special Advisers are said to have performed admirably to the delight of the Governor, despite daunting challenges facing the government including non funding of the offices of government appointees. These SAs in their performance reports are adjudged to have done very well and deserve to be elevated
Many had expected that Governor Uzodimma will carry out a major overhaul of his cabinet to pave way for “friendly allies” within the confines of the APC in the State. He never did.
Two months ago, he appointed 11 special Advisers mainly those who had served in the administration of former Governor of Imo State and Senator Representing Orlu Zone in the senate, Senator Rochas Okorocha
