EFCC Arrests Okorocha

Former Governor of Imo State and Senator Representing Imo West Senatorial District in the Senate, Senator Rochas Okorocha has been arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.

Spokesperson of the Commission, Wilson Uwajuren was quoted to have confirmed the arrest of the former Governor in Abuja.

According to the report, the former Governor was quizzed over alleged money laundering.

Recall that Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma had accused his predecessor, of misappropriating state funds.

Okorocha had severally claimed that the Imo State government had been unable to prove allegations of corruption against him.
