Uzodimma Held Up In Abuja, Days After Attack On Residence

Governor Hope Uzodimma seems held up in Abuja, after his residence in his village, Omuma in Oru East was attacked by unknown gunmen on Saturday.

Four security operatives were reportedly killed and properties worth millions of naira destroyed during the attack.

Uzodimma had met President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, where he called on the Federal Government to send more security personnel to the State.

The Governor was absent at the South East Governors meeting held at Government House, Enugu, where security issues topped the agenda of the meeting.

He was represented by his Deputy, Prof Placid Njoku

Newspaper reports claimed that the Governor cancelled his return trip to Owerri on Saturday.
