The Igbo National Council, has called on Ebonyi State Governor, Dave Umahi, to resign within 21 days, “or face trial for conspiracy in the killings of Ebonyi citizens by killer fulani herdsmen”
INC also called on the Ebonyi State House of Assembly to commence impeachment process of Gov Umahi if he fails to voluntarily resign
More than 30 people were killed in Ishielu Local Government Area of Ebonyi State by suspected killer herdsmen which has sparked nationwide outrage.
In a statement signed by the INC President, Chili’s God Sent, it accused Governor Umahi “ceding huge acres of lands of the Ebonyi State people to the Fulani’s for their settlements in exchange to get their support for his 2023 presidential ambition under the All Progressive Congress (APC) which will never work”
“Governor David Umahi is the most dangerously treacherous among all the governors in the history of the Igbo Nation, and has tendency to betray people at any slightest opportunity. We must do every possible to bring Gov Umahi to book now or after his tenure as Governor.
