A Chieftain of the All Progressive Congress, APC in Imo State, Chief Boniface Anyanwu, has predicted the exit of those he described as
“unwanted elements from the APC in the State, after Congresses in the party have been held and concluded”
Speaking to INNONEWS in Owerri , Anyanwu said the outcome of the congress will determine who actually is in charge of the party in the State, noting that “it has become clear that State governors control the soul and heartbeat of the party in the States”
“Those who will not fit in should leave, particularly those in Imo State. There are no two captains in a ship and if there are any, one has to give way.
“It is not possible for Governor Uzodimma and Senator Rochas Okorocha to share the party in the State.
“When the latter was Governor of Imo State, no body dare contest the leadership of the party with him. And despite protestations, the party conceded the party to him.
“The scenario is now the reverse. Uzodimma will lead, and he (Okorocha) and others will follow. That is the rule of the game.
Mr.Anyanwu, a Chieftain of the APC in Mbaitoli LGA, said the forthcoming congress ‘will.sieve the wheat from the chaff.
“Those who cannot join the Governor’s train have other options. They can decide to leave the party and seek political refuge elsewhere
