Former Governor of Zamfara State, Senator Sani Yarima (Yariman Bakura) has expressed deep sorrow over the untimely death of the Chief of Army Staff, Lt Gen Ibrahim Attahiru in a plane crash.
In a statement signed by Prof Vitalis Orikeze Ajumbe, South East Coordinator of Yarima Support Organization, YSO, the three times Senator expressed regrets over the shocking demise of the army officers in the air mishap, describing it as unfortunate.
“Senator Yarima observed that General Attahiru and others involved in the crash, died at a time the nation is in dire need of their services, particularly at a period the security situation in the country is quite disturbing and worrisome.
Part of the statement read: “Senator Yarima on behalf of Yarima Support Organization, YSO extends his heartfelt condolences to the President Muhammadu Buhari, the Nigerian Armed Forces, the family of General Attahiru, and to the families of other Army officers, who died in tbe plane crash.
“He urged them to be courageous at this period of grief, and prayed Almighty God to give the families of the deceased the courage to bear the loss” the statement concluded.
