The altercations between former Governor of Imo State, now Senator, Rochas Okorocha and his successor, Senator Hope Uzodimma, has continued with the former Governor, lodging fresh complaints against Uzodimma to the All Progressive Congress, APC.

Also in the fray is Senator Ifeanyi Araraume, who is also at loggerheads with Uzodimma.

According to the Chairman, APC National Registration Commitee, Alhaji Farouk Adamu, who was at Government House, Owerri, to visit Uzodimma on Thursday, he said the visit of his team, was necessitated by petitions written by Senator Rochas Okorocha to the Caretaker Commitee of the APC on his exclusion from the just concluded party registration exercise.

“We are here having received complaints from some members that were not registered.

“We held meetings with the petitioners who have spoken to us that they were refused registration, we have had their complaints.

“We assured them that they shall be registered. We also held interactions with the State Chairman, Marcon Nlemigbo.

“From our discussions, we discovered that there was a communication gap and we are here to ensure a level playing ground is given to all APC members willing to register.

“Please treat this complaints as a family affair” Farouk said.

Governor Uzodimma in his response, said he is not unaware that some people wanted to hijack the registration process, but failed thus they directed their followers not to participate in the registration exercise.

“I recall getting a phone call from the Governor of Niger State, telling me that Senator Okorocha complained that he was refused from registration.

“This is contrary to his position where he directed his followers not to register. I even offered the Niger State Governor to get a date and possibly join me in Imo to receive him (Okorocha) in his ward and supervise his registration.

Uzodimma recalled his ordeal in the APC when Okorocha was Governor of Imo State, particularly events that led to APC Guber Primary.

He said “Before I became the governorship candidate of the party, we were excluded from Congresses.

“If not for the Direct Primaries, we wouldn’t have any chance. Everything was controlled by former Governor Okorocha the way he wanted

Okorocha’s feud with Uzodimma dates back prior to the 2019 guber election.

The rift has continued with Okorocha accusing Uzodimma lately of hating him with so much passion.

Uzodimma replied, urging Nigerians not to take the former Governor serious.
