Leaked Letter To INEC: APC Says Dates For Congresses Unchanged

The All Progressive Congress, APC says dates for its Congresses remain unchanged, just as it expressed shock over its leaked Letter to INEC.

The letter seen on social media is dated July 6, 2021 and signed by Chairman and Secretary of the APC Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Commitee, Governor Mai Mala Buni and Senator John James Akpanudoedehe. It was addressed to INEC Chairman.

The letter stated that the party had rescheduled it’s Congresses.

A statement signed by the Party’s CECPC Secretary on Saturday said “The document in circulation does not intend a postponement of the Congresses.

“How it leaked from INEC is strange. It is to cure the legal landmine occasioned by Section 85 of the Electoral Act on the issuance of 21 days notice bearing in mind that the earlier date was not sancrosanct” part of the statement read.
