The Independent National Electoral Commission INEC, has adjusted the date for the take off of physical registration of voters.
The new date for the exercise is Monday, 26th July, 2021.
According to Festus Okoye, National Commissioner and Chairman, Information and Voter Education, the Commission said the previous date, July 19, 2021, for the exercise will be affected by the public holidays recently declared by the Federal Government.
“With the declaration of Tuesday 20th and Wednesday, 21st, July, 2021, as public holidays by the Federal Government, the date scheduled for the commencement of physical registration have to be adjusted”
The Commission also noted that “online registrants that have appointments, 19th to July 23 2021 will have their appointments rescheduled”
