Confirming our story published on our news website, on Saturday, titled, Uzodimma May Scrap Camp Hope, Others, May Float New Political Movement, Governor Hope Uzodimma, Tuesday night, hosted members of political associations loyal to him, namely Camp Hope, Imo Hope For Good Governance, and Hope Rising For Imolites, held at Government House, Owerri.

In the report, INNONEWS had exclusively reported that Governor Uzodimma was disturbed over the “cold war” among the various groups and the level of discrimination among members.

48 hours after our exclusive report, the governor met leaders and members of the political associations aligned to him

Confirming the meeting between the governor and leaders and members of the associations, via a statement by Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Marcel Oguwuike, Governor Uzodimma advised leaders of the group to “look inwards, think of how best to better their position in the party by reasoning more as APC members than being just an association member”

While he appreciated the groups for their support during his race to become governor of the State, he harped on the need for members of the associations to place more emphasis on enhancing the growth of the APC in Imo State.

He said this would consolidate their grip of the party in the State.

Confirming moves to reconcile the three groups, Speaker, Imo State House of Assemby, Paul Emeziem said the Commitee which he leads, to reconcile the groups, have concluded the assignment “in a positive manner”

He said the three groups are now one, and can speak in one voice to the benefit of APC in the State.

There were unconfirmed reports if the three groups were advised to collapse and unite, though the Speaker, was quoted to have said the groups “are now one”
