Details emerged at the weekend of behind the scenes which may have promoted six members of the All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA, to cross over to the All Progressive Congress, APC.

The APC has shown overwhelming determination to win Anambra State since Andy Uba emerged the party’s governorship candidate though in controversial circumstances.

Governor Hope Uzodimma who leads the party’s governorship campaign Council, is alleged to have begin “spade work” to ensure that the APC secures the State in the forthcoming governorship election.

Aside the defection of APGA lawmakers to the APC, Senator Stella Oduah of the PDP also joined the APC.

But Mr.Chinedu Obigwe, national co ordinator, APGA media Warriors Forum, alleged that the APGA defectors were induced with money to defect to the APC.

“The six saboteur lawmakers, four serving commissioners and others were lured with N300 million naira to be part of the plot to set Anambra on fire”

“I reliably gathered that the six lawmakers that defected to APC in a video that is trending online were given 300 million to share. They are not alone because my information revealed that six other lawmakers, four serving Commissioners and others got their share of the 300 million.

“The assignment given to them was to destabilize our peaceful State a d set it on fire to pave way for the emergence of Andy Uba as Anambra State Governor.

“We must see it as a patriotic duty to nip the evil plot of setting our state on fire in the bud because we don’t have another state to call our own

“Those that pocketed the 300 million bribe money and betrayed the Anambra people must be put to shame. We must not allow them to achieve the evil task that was given to them by the Andy Uba and Hope Uzodimma” he said.

In his reaction to the allegations, Chairman, APC, Anambra State, Chief Basil Ejidike described the allegations by APGA as laughable and baseless.

He described the allegations as a song of a sinking ship that cannot be taken seriously.
