Uzodimma Set To Unveil Fresh Appointees

The five months wait for Governor Hope Uzodimma to appoint Commissioners, Special Advisers, and Senior Special Assistants, SSAs may be over.

This is as indications emerged that Uzodimma has concluded selecting those he wants to aid him run the affairs of the State head on.

The long delay in appointing new aides, according to sources, who spoke to INNONEWS, “is to enable the governor thoroughly scrutinize those who will work with him as his administration enters a crucial stage”

“The long wait is over. Soon, the new appointees will be unveiled. From now till first week of November, the State Executive Council will be announced”

When reminded that this is not the first time news had filtered into the public domain that the governor was set to appoint his appointees all to no avail, the source said “This is for real this time. It is no longer speculation.

Last week, Governor Uzodimma had reportedly appointed Chief (Barr) Willie Amadi, as Technical Adviser on Sanitation, his first appointment after he had sacked 20 Commissioners and over 80 SAs and SSAs, in May.

He had recalled C.C Osuala, as Commissioner of Budget and C.O.C Akaolisa, as Commissioner of Justice and Attorney General in July.

Most of the sacked SAs, SSAs are hoping to be reappointed.
