Sit-At-Home: Commercial Activities Halted In Owerri

There was total compliance of Sit Home order of the proscribed Indigeneous People of Biafra, IPOB in Owerri, Imo State capital, on Monday.

Our correspondent who monitored the order observed that streets and major roads in the state capital were deserted. No cars were seen on the roads. Banks, markets, schools and motor parks were also deserted. There were fewer or no workers at the State Secretariat, Owerri.

The popular Eke Ukwu Owerri market always abuzz with commercial activities were completely deserted. Shops  were under lock and key along the busy Douglas and Wethedral roads as both buyers and sellers stayed away.

The total compliance of the Sit At Home order came barely a week the South East Governors met in Enugu and vowed to stop the sit at home order
