Two traditional rulers in Njaba LGA of Imo State met their untimely death on Tuesday when they were gunned down by unknown assailants.
Reports say the traditional rulers were holding a meeting at the local government headquarters at Nnenasa on Tuesday when the incident took place. Eye witness said the armed men, who stormed the venue of the meeting, opened fire on the traditional rulers which left some of them with broken heads and severe injuries.
Uncomfirmed reports say some of them were taken away by the unknown gunmen, leaving the local government headquaters in a state of shambles.
