Eze Ilomuanya Appointed Chairman, Imo State Elders’ Council

Governor Hope Uzodinma has appointed the Obi of Obinugwu, and Chancellor, Federal University, Birnin Kebbi, HRM, Eze (Dr) Cletus Ikechukwu Ilomuanya, CON, as Chairman of Imo State Elders Council.


Eze Ilomuanya, who is also the Chairman, Igbo Traditional Rulers Forum, was the erstwhile  Chairman of both Imo State and South East Councils of Traditional Rulers.

The statement conveying Eze Ilomuanya ‘s appointment was contained in a release signed by Mr. John Njoku,Permanent Secretary (Political)in the office of the Secretary to the Imo State government, Chief Cosmas Iwu.


Also appointed alongside Eze Ilomuanya and many other eminent Imo indigenes into the prestigious Council, are astute business man, and political leader in the State, Prince Lemmy Akakem, who was given the portfolio of Deputy Chairman. 


Former Speaker of the Imo State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Maxwell Duru was appointed the Secretary of the Council, which also has retired jurists, technocrats, eminent monarchs, and personalities of diverse backgrounds as members.
