Chairman, Ohaneze Ndigbo Elders Council ,Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, has said the South East will soon undergo massive industrial and economic revolution.

A statement signed by his media aide, Ben Osuagwu stated that the elder statesman made the revelation when he hosted the leadership of Ohaneze Ndigbo Youth Worldwide at his office in Owerri.

Iwuanyanwu said the feat would be achieved in collaboration with state governments in the South East and Ohaneze Ndigbo worldwide.

He said the massive industrial and economic revolution will not only lead to massive employment of the youths to make them gainfully employed but will produce goods and services, improve the GDP of the zone and also export some of the products to improve the GNP of Nigeria.

He said that if many industries are established, youths restiveness will be curbed, while crime will also reduced to barest level.

He maintained with the economic revolution to be embarked upon, the South East in the next ten years, would be a pride for all, noting that with the industrial revolution, food would be provided for the youths at very highly reduced price and easily available.

Chief Iwuanyanwu called for the restructuring of Nigeria, maintaining that if the country is restructured, peace, unity and rapid development would not be achieved. He said that restructuring is very important for the country to move forward.

In his speech earlier, the National Assistant Youth Leader of the Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth, Mr Wenceskus Ogbonnia said they visited Chief Iwuanyanwu to commend him for his continuous struggle to ensure total emancipation of the youths.

Mr Ogbonnia said Iwuanyanwu has contributed tremendously towards the development of Igbo nation and has continued to ensure that the youths are gainfully empowered and protected.
