Fear Of Omicron Variant:Imo State Govt Takes Delivery Of Fresh Covid 19 Vaccines

The fear of Omicron variant may have hit Imo State, as the State government, Wednesday, took delivery of fresh 8100 covid 19 vaccines.

Interced Health Products limited supplied the vaccines received by one of the Commissioners- designate in the State, Rubby Emele.

Omicron is a new strain of the virus that causes Covid 19, known as B.1.1.529.

Nigeria Centre For Disease Control reported the first case of the deadly virus in the country on Tuesday.

This newspaper gathered that the vaccines were immediately distributed to the 27 Interim Management Committee Chairman of the local government areas in the State.
