Imo Commissioners Designate In Suspense, Date For Inauguration Uncertain

Commissioners Designate cleared by the Imo State House of Assembly are in suspense, over no date for their swearing in.

Governor Hope Uzodimma had two weeks ago announced his commissioner nominees,  and they were all cleared by members of Imo State House of Assembly.

Tongues have been wagging over the delay in the inauguration of the new Commissioners, with speculations going wild that the event will take place in January 2022.

No official reason has been given for the delay in inaugurating the new members of the state executive, but official sources told INNONEWS that the “exercise will hold soon”

Governor Uzodimma had sacked 20 Commissioners in May retaining nine of them, a move Commissioner of Information, Declan Emelumba, had described as part of “rejigging” the administration.
