There is tension in Owerri Municipal, as the Chief Priest of Owerri Nchi Ise, Reginald Nwakom Ejiogu, has been kidnapped by unknown gunmen.
The incident took place on Saturday, as the abductors nabbed him alongside a village Head, Sunny Ukachukwu by Christ Church road.
This has sent ripples down the spines of well meaning Owerri Indigenes who are at a loss on the sudden incident.
This has also ignited anxiety in the entire Owerre Much Ise Community, as many ponder over the sudden development.
A visit to his shrine by our correspondent showed residents wearing a mournful look.
“This is unbelievable. And it is unheard of that our spiritual leader is being kidnapped.This is a sacrilege” said an elder of the community who spoke on condition of anonymity.
