Imo Assembly Suspends Three Members, lawmaker’s Seat Declared Vacant

The Imo State House of Assembly has suspended three members.

Those suspended are Hon Arthur Egwim (Ideato North), Ngozi Obiefule (Isu) and Hon Obinna Okwara (Nkwerre)

Speaker of the House, Kennedy Ibeh announced their suspension on the floor of the House.

A source said they were suspended because “when Governor Hope Uzodimma, presented the 2022 budget, the House promised to give it accelerated hearing . These lawmakers ignored to participate  in the sitting and the Speaker was angry with their action. Therefore, they were suspended”
