Senator Anyanwu Plots Return Of APC Chieftain To PDP

National Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Senator Samuel Anyanwu, has called on Charles Ezekwem, a chieftain of the All Progressive Congress, APC, to return to the PDP.

Ezekwem was Chairman, PDP in Imo State, before he decamped and joined the APC last year.

Senator Anyanwu had recently visited former Abia State Governor and Senate Chief Whip, Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu, where he called on the APC chieftain to return to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

Anyanwu, who visited Ezekwem on Monday, December 27, 2021, at his country home at Umuezegem Okigwe in Okigwe local government area of Imo State, said Ezekwem was instrumental to the victory of the PDP in the 2019 Imo governorship election.

He urged the former Chairman of the opposition party to return to the PDP,  forgive any wrong done to him by the opposition party.

Ezekwem said he would consult with his political structure before taking an informed decision on his political future.

“I will not take a decision independently. I would consult my political structure. We will take a decision as group”, he said.
