Media Relations Consultant,Chief (Dr) Fidel Onyeneke has stated that one of the prominent achievements of a leader is to transform his or her personal knowledge to public information through the documentations and writing of books.

Chief Onyeneke stated this in Owerri while reacting to the Book titled”Reflections on the Igbo question” ,authored by Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo state.

He observed that the issues raised in the Monograph were very apt,and capable of resolving the numerous socio-political problems which bedeviled the Nigerian nation in recent times.

Chief Onyeneke,a former Chairman of Nigeria Union of Journalists(NUJ) in Imo state, said that lessons from the book would guide Nigerian leaders and those in government to offer selfless services that would give all Nigerian citizens a true sense of oneness and unity, irrespective of religious, tribal, and political inclinations.

The Media guru suggested that Nigerians should be sensitised appropriately and encouraged to write and read books as a deliberate effort to improve the level of literacy and broad-mindedness in the Country.

Chief Onyeneke commended the Imo Governor for bringing out this well-reseached academic work at this period when Nigerians are in dire need of critical solutions to many issues which threatened the existence of the country as an entity.

Chief Onyeneke said it was time that intellectual approaches were applied to solve the problems of the various sections of the Nation. While commending Governor Uzodinma for appreciating the importance of books and Information documentations,Chief Onyeneke called for the total revitalization of Public Libraries in Imo state, and the mandatory establishment of Schools Libraries in the primary and Secondary schools,in order to boost the reading habit of the citizenry.

According to Onyeneke, the Libraries should be equipped with virtual and modern information material which would enhance the enlightenment of the Imo public.

He urged the Government not to relent in its efforts to solidify the Information dissemination machinery in the state so that it would serve as a veritable communication link between the Government and the governed.
