The family of President of Owerri Archdiocese Catholic Women Organization (CWO), Mrs. Foster Madu, has joyfully offered thanksgiving to God for His goodness, favour and grace particularly by availing their children, Sandra and Kennedy the opportunity to have a smooth wedlock, for peaceful child delivery and for keeping them alive to witness the 2022.
The thanksgiving which was held at Holy Family Catholic Church, Irete, Owerri West, on Sunday, saw the presence of friends, well wishers including Umuekpu Irete people who felicitated with the Madu’s family over their joy and thanksgiving outing.
Expressing gratefulness to God for His kindness and protection on his family, Mrs Foster Madu stated that the thanksgiving outing was to thank God for His goodness, favor and love to her family, as well as strengthened them to healthily see the new year which she prayed would be better for all who trust in God.
“My family was filled with deep happiness for God’s grace, gift of life, for the successful wedding of my children, for peaceful delivery of my son’s wife and for His protection and favor. And we pray for God’s continued blessing and strength as we advance in life”, she maintained.
Madu, who is also the Owerri Provincial CWO President, advised wealthy persons in the society to use their riches to help the poor, vulnerable, disabled and the sick especially orphans rather than using their wealth against them so that they gain more blessings and favour from God. “We beg God to inspire those who have money to look after the poor and the vulnerable especially orphans. They should donate to the orphanages and get abundance of grace, favor and strength as God has done for me and my family”.
Giving homily earlier, the Assistant Parish Priest, Holy Family Parish, Irete, Rev. Fr. Reginald Ahumibe, enjoined the congregation to love one another and serve God in truth and in spirit as Christ exemplified by dying for the salvation of mankind.
