Ahead of the 2023 elections, the All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA, in Imo State, says it has reinforced to sack the All Progressive Congress, APC led administration in the State from power and also defeat the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP
The party said it is also ready to clinch Imo Douglas House, Owerri and other elective positions in the State, stating that the party is propelled by a burning passion to entrench responsible leadership which would reduce crime and poverty in the State.

Speaking to newsmen at it’s state headquarters in Owerri on January 3, on the the party’s 2022 Corporate Strategy and Brand Direction, the State Party Chairman, Hon John Iwuala, said the party is well positioned to clinch victory and defeat both the PDP and APC in the forthcoming general election.
He recalled that APGA has been winning elections in the state in the past, but was denied of such victory. He said the party is now committed to change “the ugly narratives of bad governance, corruption, stealing public finance in Imo State”
He said APGA has embarked on reconciling its aggrieved members which he noted is one of the ways of endearing the party to the heart and physche of Imo citizens.
The State Party Chairman assured that APGA has taken moves to abhor invasion of the party at odd election periods, arguing that such positive measure would strengthen the party to ensure more acceptability among the Imo populace.
“Today’s press briefing, apart from the rebranding strategy of Imo APGA, is also aimed at offering APGA with open hands as succor to the public and the masses in Imo State who have suffered neglect and political maladministration in the hands of the two major political parties in both previous and current administrations.
“In alignment with the driving force and commitment of the current leadership of Imo APGA which is to lead a party that will sustain robust engagements with relevant stakeholders, this public statement today, the 3rd day of January, 2022, presents an outline of policies and strategies with objectives to pursue reform programs and rebranding for healthy competitiveness and effectiveness to evolve and present Ndimo for the endowment of APGA as a political party of first choice to all well meaning Imolites” he said.
The Party Chairman maintained that hijacking the party by political opportunists and party destroyers will no longer be possible as the party in the State, now has a strong and committed leadership which will never leave any stone unturned in reforming and restoring the lost glory of the party.
He appealed to all aggrieved members to eschew their grievances, embrace reconciliation, come back and join hands to reform and restore APGA,
He noted that the party will “identify and reach out to well meaning Imo sons and daughters willing and able to be part of our vision of inclusiveness. We are glad to be called the party of the masses, because there will be a total overhaul of the party and outright change of psyche both within the leadership, the led, contestants and of course masses”
He continued “The era when persons with conflicting political ideologies, zero percent history of party loyalty, will stampede the party in desperate search for emergency membership and benefits are admitted into the party is over.
“The era when someone will hijack the party from just out of the blues is over and cannot be allowed to repeat itself in Imo APGA any longer. Never and Never again… Enough is enough”.
