Business mogul and former Pro Chancellor of Imo State University, Owerri, Prince (Dr) Alex Mbata, has paid for rents for offices of the All Progressive Congress, APC.
A statement endorsed by Media Adviser to Prince Alex Mbata Foundation, PAM, Mr Innocent Onyeukwu said the release of the funds is in furtherance of his support to Mbata’s friend and Executive Governor of Imo State and leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC in the State, Governor Hope Uzodimma.
The statement reads:
“In furtherance of his support to his friend, the Executive Governor of Imo State and leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC in the State, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma, the founder of PAM Humanitarian Foundation, Prince Alex Mbata (ABM) have released funds to the party to rent befitting offices for the 9 Local Governments in Owerri zone.
“He has also urged the Owerri zone Chairman of the party to urgently secure a conducive office to serve as the party’s zonal office.
“Dr. Mbata, on behalf of PAM foundation, has once again exhibited his undiluted passion and commitment to the growth of the APC in Imo State.
“This gesture symbolizes his commitment to further strengthen the party in Owerri zone and Imo State in general”
Prince Mbata had held an empowerment programme last December and doled out cash, motorcycles, sewing machines and hair dryers to about 30,000 persons.
He also tarred a 2km dual carriage road in New Owerri, the state capital.
According to the statement, these kind gestures were meant to support Senator Uzodimma, who he said, means well for the people of the state.
