A former Speaker of Imo State House of Assembly, Hon Chiji Collins, has been seen in a viral video where he angrily threw away kolanuts at a gathering with some youths.
His grouse was that he was told not to seek re election by one of the youths at the meeting, who told him that he has failed to fulfill his promises to them after four years at the State House of Assembly.
Collins, who represents Isiala Mbano State Constituency, attempted to speak to the young man, but later got infuriated with the statement which prompted him to get up, fumed and angrily threw away the tray containing the kolanuts meant for the gathering.
Collins was elected to the House in 2015 on the platform of the All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA.
He later defected to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
During the administration of Emeka Ihedioha, he emerged Speaker of Imo State House of Assembly.
When Ihedioha was removed from office by the Supreme Court and replaced with Senator Hope Uzodimma of the All Progressives Congress, APC, he decamped to the APC, and retained the Speakership position.
He was impeached as Speaker in November 2020.
