Celebrate Onwa Oru Festival In Your Homes, Eze Ariri Orders Obibi Indigenes

The paramount ruler of Obibi Uratta Community in Owerri North Local Government Area of Imo State, Eze Sir Bon Ariri, the Ezeudo Obibi IV, has directed all Obibi indigenes, to celebrate the 2022 Onwa Oru festival in their homes.

The Onwa Oru festival is one of the popular cultural festivals in Imo State and in the South East.

According to a statement from the respected and revered monarch,  he stated that adequate preparations shall be made for subsequent festivals in years ahead.

He noted that this year’s festival was re packaged to due prevailing circumstances in the State, particularly to avoid “unforeseen violence”

The decision, according to the statement, was taken after consultations between the Monarch with stakeholders in Obibi community and other recognized traditional rulers in Uratta, who resolved to promote and encourage peace in the community.
