As Ngor-Okpala State Constituency Bye- election draws near, the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) candidate in the election, Hon. Chris Nwaiwu, has promised to give the people quality, purposeful and responsible representation at the Imo State House of Assembly if given mandate.
He gave the promise while addressing the people of Ngor-Okpala during the official Flag Off Campaign and unveiling of the party’s candidate held on Thursday, at Obike Community School and Union Primary School Umukabia respectively.
Nwaiwu, a chartered accountant, stated that he is going to the House of Assembly to affect lives of the people positively by arresting the myriads of problems slowing the progress of the constituency.
“There are myriads of problems to tackle in Ngor-Okpala. I’m going to submit myself to the wishes of the people, rally around them to know their problems and give a holistic approach to the solution- which is to fix roads, electricity, school structures, healthcare centres and markets including youth and women empowerment through job creation and trading with a view to alleviating poverty”, he maintained.
He appealed to the people of Ngor-Okpala to come out en masse on the 26th of February, 2022 and vote massively for him to enable him meet their pressing needs to make their living bearable.
Speaking earlier, Imo State APGA Chairman, Hon. John Iwuala, described the candidate as a democrat who he said would wipe the tears of his people caused by bad representation.
“Chris, our candidare is the most academically qualified and human oriented candidate for the Ngor-Okpala bye- election. Because he understands the problems of the people, he will work for the good of the people and he will make the constituency agriculture hub. So, give him your mandate”, Iwuala posited.
The rally was witnessed by a mammoth crowd.
