Uzodimma, Okorocha’s Men Make APC Convention Planning Committee (UPDATED)

Governor Hope Uzodimma has been appointed Chairman of the Screening Appeal Sub Committee, just as loyalists of former Governor Rochas Okorocha, were appointed into key sub committees of the Convention Planning Committee for the national convention of the All Progressives Congress, APC scheduled to hold on March 26.

Some of the Governor’s loyalists also made the list of sub committees. They are Speaker, Imo State House of Assembly, Kennedy Ibe, his Deputy Amara Iwuanyanwu, who were appointed, members of Security/Protocol and Digital Communication Committees respectively.


Others are, a former Commissioner in Imo State, Prof Vitalis Ajumbe and Member Elect for Ngor Okpala State Constituency in Imo State House of Assembly, Blyden Amajirionwu. The duo are members of Convention Legacy and Rapporteurs Sub Committee.

An aide of Governor Uzodimma and former Speaker, Imo State House of Assembly, Goodluck Opiah, was appointed member, Transportation and Logistics Committee.


Uzodimma and Okorocha are at logger heads over the soul of the APC in the State, with the Supreme Court expected to deliver judgement on the matter on May 27.

According to a statement signed by James Akpanudoedehe, Secretary Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee, former governorship candidate, Uche Nwosu was appointed a member of Screening sub committee.

Others appointed from Okorocha’s camp include Sunny Chiadi, Barrister Ijeoma Igboanusi, Barrister Okey Anyikwa, Barr. Nnanna Okoro, Faisal Lawal, and Barrister Steve Asimobi
