The Executive Governor of Imo State Senator Hope Odidika Uzodimma has identified with the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ),Imo State Chapter as the Association marked her 32nd Anniversary .
In a statement signed by the Chairman and Secretary, Imo NAWOJ, Dorathy Nnaji and Chika Ewurum, the governor in his magnanimity sponsored the trip of a good number of the members of Imo State Chapter of the Association to Abuja.
“The Imo State NAWOJ appreciates the Governor for his gesture as the trip would have been a mirage but for the fatherly love of the Governor and support to the forth estate of the realm” part of the statement read.
The 32nd Anniversary of NAWOJ which took place at International Conference Center (ICC) Abuja, was witnessed by Imo state and other states participants across the federation .
It featured award presentation to the First Lady of Nigeria, Her Excellency Mrs Aisha Buhari, the Executive Governor of Ebonyi State, David Umahi and other personalities for outstanding performance in their different field of endeavor . A Posthumous award of Ideal Role Model for African Women Leaders was bestowed to former first Lady Mrs Maryam Ibrahim Babangida .
